SEO and Marketing Web Sites - Internet Best Practices for Human Resource Vendors

The Web has dramatically changed how HR decision makers research products and services. Companies used to rely on consultants, trade shows and print magazines for information. But now, equal to peers, the Web is the primary resource where buyers go to find and research human resource and employee benefit products and services. Even if a buyer learns about your company offline, they will likely go online to find out more about your company. Because of this shift, you must have:

  • A “marketing” Web site that is search-optimized and clearly and quickly tells the buyer who you are.

  • A Web site that engages visitors (your sales prospects) and converts them to sales leads.

Don't Have Time for Social Media? Hire an Intern.

The New York TimesThe frustration level by employers is pretty high when we talk with them about the importance of sites such as Twitter. Just when they're starting to feel comfortable with the importance of their web pages coming up high in Google search results (search engine optimization), buying ads on the search engines (search engine marketing), and social networking sites such as Facebook, along comes yet another opportunity... Pizza Hut apparently decided that Twitter is a web-based tool that is important but that their regular staff didn't have the ability or willingness to properly use it so they're hiring an intern.

Customer Focus: How Coach Effect Uses HRmarketer

Coach EffectCompany: Coach Effect is a leadership and organizational effectiveness boutique that focuses on increasing employee satisfaction, productivity, and morale through developing managers and leaders. Their mission is to make a sustainable positive impact in every workplace they touch. They do this through coaching, organizational effectiveness consulting, and development. Founder, Jennifer Mounce, SPHR, is a former VP of HR and understands the great work HR and L&D professionals want to accomplish in their workplaces.

Marketing Challenge: As a small business owner, and no dedicated marketing staff, Jennifer needed to find resources to help her implement marketing strategies without requiring her to invest hundreds of hours of her own time. This need led her to HRmarketer.com. Jennifer views HRmarketer as an outsourced extension of her marketing, providing opportunities and information she can take advantage of in a timely manner.

How Coach Effect Uses HRmarketer: Coach Effect has been utilizing HRmarketer for just under three months and has already sent off several request for proposals for speaking opportunities, distributed press releases, received direct responses from journalists, and saw an increase in traffic to their website the day the release went out. Jennifer took advantage of the free press release review service and found it to be a very valuable benefit. This was the first press release Coach Effect has ever sent and Jennifer said, “Without HRmarketer it would not have happened.”

Jennifer was already pleased with the opportunities and resources through her HRmarketer membership, but with the addition of the SEO Center in April she is experiencing an even greater value. “We are already implementing many of the suggestions I received during our SEO one-on-one consultation with the HRmarketer team.” Jennifer looks forward to continuing to utilize her marketing investment of HRmarketer.com and experiencing many tangible results through the coming year.
